Mr. Chen Luming has extensive experience in handling complex international disputes and specializes in foreign-related arbitration, litigation, mediation and negotiation. He specializes in handling construction disputes, disputes arising from foreign trade agreements, long-term procurement contracts, complex commercial contracts, equity and asset acquisition contracts and joint venture contracts, as well as disputes involving insurance and insolvency. Mr. Chen has handled numerous disputes involving asset management agreements and VAM agreements in recent years and thus possesses rich experience. Mr. Chen has assisted foreign parties in enforcing foreign arbitration awards in Chinese courts under the New York Convention. Mr. Chen has been an arbitrator at China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and its sub-commissions since 1989. He has heard numerous and different types of arbitration cases during that period. Mr. Chen has represented Chinese companies in arbitration proceedings before Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and New Singapore International Arbitration Centre. He is also an arbitrator of the two centres. Mr. Chen is familiar with American litigation law and was involved in criminal investigations with the U.S. Department of Justice in New York.
